Teaching and tutoring as an important part of my career

At the beginning of my professional career I decided to become certified instructor to have the possibility to teach my techniques in my country that had a poor level of CGI teaching, so I was instructor in some italian VFX school as “Istituto Quasar”, “Oxart VFX”, “Act Multimedia”, and I had the possibility to collaborate with the main CGI magazine in Italy, “Computer Grafica - Tecniche ed applicazioni” as freelance writer.

When I started to collaborate with international studios, I had the chance to change this side of my career too, so I collaborated with Gnomon School to release my 1st DVD “Look development with Mental Ray”, and I was one of the 1st instructor for CGCookie, (company founded by Wes Burke to create a big teaching and tutoring platform).

Now I’m still resident Mentor at CGCookie working hard to maintain one of the company channel : MAXCookie, a very complete website covering a lot of topics for Autodesk 3ds max, and mainly focused on visual effects as particle stuffs, fluids, lighting and shading.

At CGCookie we cover Blender and Modo too, and we are planning a lot of new features and products, we have still Mavenseed platform ready to re-born as a one-to-one online teaching site.
